Scholarships in Germany

The basic idea behind the scholarship is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of committed students and to promote tomorrow’s skilled professionals. The Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation is also involved: Every year, nine German scholarships are awarded to students at Freiburg University and two to the Forest Science College in Rottenburg. In financing the German scholarships, the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation prompts the federal government to do its part: It doubles the contributions to the young scholars.

The German scholarship enables high achieving students to take advantage of educational opportunities independent of their social background and the location of their college. This is evidenced by the results of the legally prescribed evaluation and research accompanying the German scholarship.

“The German scholarship bolsters the increasingly important networking of science, the economy and society. Sponsoring committed up-and-coming talent is a social responsibility. It is among the most rewarding and sustainable investments in the future.”
