Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation supports renovation of the community center in Neustadt

The Paul Gerhardt House, parish house of the Protestant parish in Waiblingen-Neustadt, is getting old. It needs to be modernized and energetically redeveloped, with insulation measures including window renewal to lower the high energy costs. The Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation supports the project with 100,000 euros. "With the help of the foundation, we can finally do more for environmental protection and also save energy costs," says Reverend Joachim Bauer, chairman of the parish council.
The Paul Gerhardt House in Waiblingen-Neustadt was built in 1969. In 2017, the congregation converted the heating system to district heating (woodchips) with considerable financial resources. For the upcoming renovation, around 485,000 euros are needed.
The parish hall is very busy and gets used as a communal meeting place in addition to a place of community life of the parish. The neighboring school uses the house as well as music school, singing club, several groups of early musical education, as well as clubs for example, for membership meetings and Christmas parties. There are also larger events such as the party lounge of the handball tournament of the municipalities "Neustadt in Europa".
