Groundbreaking changes at the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation
- • Michael von Winning is a new member of the board from January 1st, 2022
• Andreas Hesky future Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation
• New team member for asset management
At this year's meeting of the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation's Board of Trustees, the founders announced numerous changes in the organization. Founder and board member Robert Mayr explained: "With a view to the growing volume of the foundation, the demanding tasks that go with it and our meanwhile advanced age, we have set the course for the future." Michael von Winning, who has been Head of Programs and Strategy at the Foundation for around two years, will join the Board of Directors from January 1, 2022 alongside the founders Eva Mayr-Stihl and Robert Mayr. For the first time in the more than 35-year history of the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation, a non-family member of the board will be appointed. After working for the Robert Bosch Stiftung and in an international management consultancy, Von Winning is well prepared and said: “I would like to thank the founders for the trust they have placed in me and I am happy to accept the challenge in times of rapidly growing funding volumes with the greatest respect and with all my heart . "
Andreas Hesky, currently Lord Mayor of Waiblingen, will dedicate part of his time as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation from April 1, 2022. He takes over the office from Dr. Gerhard Wirth, who is leaving the board for reasons of age. Founder and board member Robert Mayr thanked the lawyer Wirth for his many years of service with the words: “Dr. Gerhard Wirth has chaired this body since it was founded in 2010. I would like to thank him very much for his extraordinary commitment and the significant support in the further development of our foundation. At the same time, I am very much looking forward to working with our new Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Andreas Hesky. We have already made numerous projects possible together in Waiblingen; now we will do that well beyond Waiblingen. "
As of October 1st, the operational foundation team has already been expanded to include an asset management expert: Daniel Cottu is moving from the private banking division of Südwestbank Stuttgart to Waiblingen. The banking economist and investment expert will look after the increasingly self-managed and growing assets of the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation and further develop the necessary structures and processes. The foundation's first board of trustees was set up on July 1, 2010 by the founders Eva Mayr-Stihl and Robert Mayr - already with Dr. Gerhard Wirth as chairman. Other members of the committee are currently Uta-Micaela Dürig, Alexandra Mayr, Susanne Müller-Schöll, Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Marten and Markus Schetter. The Board of Trustees advises the Board of Directors in performing its duties.
