Landesmuseum Wurttemberg: "Fascination sword"

Weapon of heroes, symbol of power, cult object and offering: The sword has fascinated man for millennia. The Landesmuseum Wurttemberg dedicates a special exhibition to the sword in in Stuttgart’s Old Castle, showing exhibits from the Bronze Age to Modern Age; impressive slashing and stabbing weapons for admiring or touching, on paintings or in Hollywood productions. An extensive program complements the exhibition, which will be shown from Oct. 13. 2018 through April 28. 2019. It is supported by the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation.

Is the sword pure men's business? Among other things, the State Museum dedicates a blog post to this issue: http://blog.landesmuseum-stuttgart.de/das-schwert-reine-maennersache/.
