New hospice building in Bietigheim-Bissingen inaugurated

The only stationary hospice in the district of Ludwigsburg in Bietigheim-Bissingen has been operated by the sponsoring association for almost 20 years. In addition to the inpatient and outpatient hospice service, it also offers bereavement and various educational opportunities.

The old building did not have enough beds to meet the increasing demand. In addition, not all offers that were available on an outpatient basis could also be made on the premises of the hospice. A former home for people with MS near the old town, Haus Lindenhain, was taken over, converted and expanded.

The Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation donated a share of the costs. As a thank you for all supporters, a so-called "Donors' Fountain" was erected. Board member Michael von Winning used the roller for the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation at an open day on May 1, 2022.
